CAC is seeking a skilled Grapple & Shear operator to join our team. This is a fast-paced environment that encompasses a wide range of opportunities from our metal recycling division to project work throughout Alberta.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Processing materials such as pipe, exchangers, modules, and farm equipment using grapples attachments on material handlers
- Loading and unloading step decks, super b’s, demo boxes, flat decks with bunks and pins using grapple and magnet attachments
- Clean, lubricate, fuel, and perform minor repairs to equipment
- Attention to detail, safety consciousness, and always aware of others and their surroundings.
Qualifications
- Heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent experience required
- Experience with Sany, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Sennebogen, JCB, Case, Acculoader material handlers are required
- Industry experience in scrap/recycling, forestry, mines, or similar experience is desirable
- Calculate weight, volume, and length measurements for various materials processed at our facility
- Knowledge and understanding of counterbalance for more specialized equipment
- The ability to rig is desirable
