CAC Metal Recycling is seeking an Information Systems Specialist to support the integration, testing, and improvement of operational business systems used in recycling, inventory management, reporting, and equipment support functions. The successful candidate will assist with connecting multiple internal platforms, improving workflow efficiency, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting digital modernization initiatives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing business systems and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Support integration between inventory, accounting, reporting, and operational software platforms.
  • Perform testing and validation of system changes, data transfers, and software updates.
  • Troubleshoot software, interface, and data accuracy issues affecting daily operations.
  • Maintain internal reporting tools, dashboards, and data structures.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors or software providers regarding technical issues when required.
  • Review technical manuals or supplier documentation related to specialized equipment and systems.
  • Assist management in implementing new digital tools and operational technologies.
  • Maintain data security, backups, and access controls for internal systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree or advanced postgraduate study in a related technical field is considered a strong asset and may be considered toward relevant experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in information systems, software integration, systems support, automation, testing, or related technical roles. Advanced academic research, postgraduate study, or equivalent applied project experience may be considered as part of total experience.
  • Experience with databases, reporting tools, system testing, or workflow automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, internal users, and management.
