
Heavy Melting Steel (#1 HMS)
Wrought iron and/or steel scrap at least 1/4″ thick all-around.
Must be clean, free of paint, rubber, or plastics.
Examples:
Open hearth steel plates, structural shapes like I-Beam, crop ends, pipe.
Subcategory:
Prepared: Individual pieces not over 4′ x 2′ x 2′ (or 48″ x 24″ x 24″)
Oversized: Individual pieces over 4′ x 2′ x 2′ (or 48″ x 24″ x 24″)

Heavy Melting Steel (#2 HMS)
Wrought iron and/or steel scrap, black and galvanized, at least 1/8″ thick and less than 1/4″ thick.
Examples:
Open hearth steel plates, structural shapes, crop ends and pipe.
Subcategory:

Oversized: Individual pieces over 4′ x 2′ x 2′ (or 48″ x 24″ x 24″)

Cast Iron
Cast iron at least 1/4″ thick all-around.
Must be clean, free of paint, rubber, or plastics.
Examples:
Columns, pipes, plates, and casting of a miscellaneous nature, including automobile blocks and cast iron parts of agricultural and other machinery.

Oversized: Individual pieces over 4′ x 2′ x 2′ (or 48″ x 24″ x 24″)

Tin (White Goods)
Thin-gauged steel that you can find in most household goods and small appliances.
Examples:
Air conditioners, fridges, freezers, dryers and dishwashers, and other household items.
Gauge:
Thickness less than 1/8″

Car Bodies
Car bodies with punctured fuel tanks, free of gasoline and any other kinds of liquid.

Farm Equipment
Equipment used on farms.
Examples:
Reapers, tractors, threshing machines, winnowing machines, drag harrows, combines etc.

Heavy Equipment
Heavy industrial machinery.
Examples:
Bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, forklifts, oilfield equipment, snow throwers, aerial work platforms, grapple, caterpillar, axles, cabins, generators, motorcycles, jet heater, shear machines, container stairs, conveyors, motors, oil tanks etc.
