We are currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the province of Alberta and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
Connecting and disconnecting trailers
Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
Operate manual and automatic shifts
Secure loads safely
Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience
Valid Class 1 license
3 years clean driving record and abstract
Load securement certification
Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)
Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation
Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
